Polk County, Iowa Landmarks Art | Prints & Wood Art

A little piece of Polk County, Iowa.

This solid-wood art features a reproduction of my original colored-pencil drawing, created as a celebration of the landmarks, communities and familiar places that make Polk County feel like home.

The piece brings together recognizable sights from across the county, including Des Moines, Altoona, Ankeny, Johnston, Bondurant, Pleasant Hill, Grimes, Urbandale, Clive and more, along with Polk County landmarks such as the Iowa State Capitol, downtown Des Moines skyline, Iowa State Fair, Adventureland, local water towers, community landmarks and other familiar touches from around the metro and surrounding towns.

Each piece begins with my original hand-drawn colored-pencil artwork and is reproduced, mounted and finished by me here in Iowa on solid wood, creating a ready-to-display piece with a warm, handcrafted feel.

A meaningful gift for anyone who calls Polk County home, grew up here, or simply carries a little piece of it with them.
